Golden Knights sign Trent Swick to ELC

It’s that time of the year when CHL players are signing entry-level contracts.
Today, Vegas Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon announced that they have signed forward Trent Swick to a three-year entry-level contract.
Swick was originally selected in the sixth round by Vegas in the 2024 NHL Draft. Swick participated in the team’s development camp in July. The contract is set to begin next season.

Swick currently plays for the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) where he has tallied 26 goals and 31 assists for 57 points in 55 games this season, he ranks second among Rangers’ skaters in points.
The 6-foot-7 forward tallied 25 goals 37 assists and 62 points in 63 games during the 2023-24 campaign, he added five goals in seven OHL playoff contests.
In 198 career games to this point, Swick has 64 goals and 79 assists for 131 points. Swick has continued to show stronger signs that he is feeling more comfortable with his size and how he can use it to his advantage.
The St. Catharines, Ontario native was drafted by the Kitchener Rangers in the third round (47th overall) in the 2020 OHL Priority Draft Selection. Swick will soon surpass the 200-game milestone playing all 200 with the Blueshirts.
Swick is the first of the four 2024 Vegas Draft picks to sign with the Golden Knights. Both Trevor Connelly and Lucas Van Vilet are in the NCAA.
Swick will likely see action next season in either the ECHL with the Tahoe Knight Monsters or the AHL with the Henderson Silver Knights.
