With the Tampa Bay Lightning sitting fifth in the Atlantic Division with a 19-17-5 record; one has to wonder if it’s too late for them to turn it around and make the playoffs, does this mean their dynasty could be nearing the end? Today on Daily Faceoff Live, Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk discuss the Bolts’ current season and what could be in store come the trade deadline.

Frank Seravalli: Speaking of the Eastern Conference mush, the team that’s the lowest on the list with an authentic chance at least today to make the Stanley Cup playoffs is the Tampa Bay Lightning and I don’t think anyone will count them out.

Tyler Yaremchuk: No, you take a look at the record of 19-17-5 and they’ve lost more than they’ve won this year. I know that the Andrei Vasilevskiy injury kind of took some wind out of their sails at the start but he’s been back and the results haven’t been better. They are five in five in their last 10 games and I get the sense that Tampa and Julien BriseBois are not ones to sit on their hands and hope to squeak in.

Frank Seravalli: The only danger of that is that for the Lightning, Julien BriseBois is so aggressive they might go the other way.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Wow, that would be a curve ball we were not expecting come trade season.
