The Los Angeles Kings will be without some important forward depth for the immediate future as both Alex Turcotte and Tanner Jeannot are considered day-to-day with undisclosed injuries, Kings head coach Jim Hiller confirmed Thursday to team reporter Zach Dooley.

Through 64 appearances with the Kings this season, Turcotte has collected eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points coupled with 20 penalty minutes and a plus-eight rating. Originally chosen fifth overall by the Kings in the 2019 NHL Draft, the 24-year-old native of Elk Grove, Ill., has spent part of four seasons with Los Angeles in which he has collected 27 points counting nine goals and 18 assists through 96 career contests.

Last June, the Kings signed Turcotte to a three-year extension worth $775,000 per season, according to PuckPedia.

Beyond his time with the Kings, Turcotte has also played part of four campaigns with the AHL affiliated Ontario Reign where through 126 career contests he has recorded 28 goals and 57 assists for 85 points.

For Jeannot, the 27-year-old native of Estevan, Sask., is skating in his first season with the Kings where through 67 appearances he has collected seven goals and six assists for 13 points alongside a plus-13 rating and a team-leading 89 penalty minutes.

A veteran of 294 career contests counting stops with the Nashville Predators, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Kings, Jeannot has registered 49 goals and 44 assists for 93 career points. Jeannot has also added three points through 16 appearances in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Last offseason, the Kings acquired Jeannot from the Lightning in exchange for a fourth-round selection in the 2024 NHL Draft plus a second-round pick in the upcoming NHL Draft. Per PuckPedia, Jeannot is in the final year of a two-year contract that carries a $2.665-million annual average value and can become an unrestricted free agent this coming offseason.
