Predators’ Adam Wilsby to miss rest of season; Zach L’Heureux out week-to-week

The Nashville Predators provided a pair of roster updates Friday, announcing that defenseman Adam Wilsby will miss the remainder of the season due to an upper-body injury, while left winger Zach L’Heureux will be sidelined on a week-to-week basis after suffering an upper-body ailment.
Limited to 23 appearances with the Predators this season, Wilsby scored once and added four assists for five points coupled with six penalty minutes and a plus-three rating. Skating in his first season with the Predators, the 24-year-old Swedish-born blue-liner has also seen playing time with the AHL affiliated Milwaukee Admirals where through 13 outings he picked up five points counting one goal and four assists.
Earlier this month, Wilsby signed a two-year extension with the Predators that will carry a $775,000 annual average value, per PuckPedia. Wilsby’s new contract will begin in the 2025-26 season. Wilsby was originally chosen by the Predators in the fourth round of the 2020 NHL Draft.
Up front, L’Heureux will remain out of the lineup after already missing the Predators’ last game prior to breaking for the 4 Nations Face-Off. On the season, the 21-year-old Montreal native has made 45 appearances with the Predators in which he has tallied four goals and nine assists for 13 points alongside 52 penalty minutes and a minus-six rating. Last month, L’Heureux sat for three games after receiving a suspension for slew-footing.
Originally chosen 27th overall by Nashville in the 2021 NHL Draft, L’Heureux is skating in his first season with the Predators, while he has also seen four showings with the Admirals in which he has notched three goals and two assists for five points.
On the season, the Predators sit 19-28-7 and 18 points back of the Vancouver Canucks for the second wildcard seed in the Western Conference. With the 4 Nations Face-Off now concluded, the Predators will return to the ice Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche.
