Predators place Marc Del Gaizo, Kieffer Bellows on waivers

The Nashville Predators have waived defenseman Marc Del Gaizo and left winger Kieffer Bellows, according to PuckPedia.
Through 35 appearances with the Predators this season, Del Gaizo has scored once and added seven assists for eight points coupled with 17 penalty minutes while averaging 16:38 in time on ice per game. Del Gaizo has also split time with the AHL affiliated Milwaukee Admirals where through 38 showings with the minor-league club he has collected eight goals and four assists for 12 points alongside 16 penalty minutes and a plus-10 rating.
Originally chosen by Nashville in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Del Gaizo has totaled 44 appearances with the Predators in which he has notched one goal and 10 assists for 11 points. Per PuckPedia, Del Gaizo is on a one-year contract that carries a $775,000 annual average value and can become an unrestricted free agent this coming offseason.
For Bellows, the veteran forward has seen 13 showings with the Predators this season in which he has recorded two goals and one assist for three points with six penalty minutes and a minus-three rating. Bellows has spent the majority of the season with the Admirals where through 41 outings he has picked up 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points with 54 penalty minutes.
The 19th overall selection in the 2016 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders, Bellows has totaled 108 career contests with the Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, and Predators in which he has notched 16 goals and 15 assists for 31 points. Like Del Gaizo, Bellows is one a one-year, $775,000 contract and can become an unrestricted free agent in July.
On the season, the Predators sit 27-36-8 and 21 points back of a playoff position in the Western Conference. The Predators are on pace to miss the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the second time in the past three seasons.
