The Nashville Predators have announced that they’ve signed goaltender Matt Murray to a two-year contract extension with a $775,000 cap hit.

Murray was set to become an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of his one-year, $775,000 contract with the Predators, so his two-year deal locks him up with the team until he’s 29 years old.

There’s currently no confirmation on if the new contract comes with any clauses, but it is a two-way deal, meaning that he will only get paid his $775,000 salary when he’s at the NHL level. His AHL salary has yet to be confirmed.
