The Nashville Predators announced Thursday that the club has signed left winger Navrin Mutter to one-year, two-way contract that carries a $775,000 annual average value and will begin in the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.

Through 37 appearances this season with the AHL affiliated Milwaukee Admirals, Mutter scored once and added three assists for four points combined with a minus-five rating and 87 penalty minutes. In all, the forward has spent part of four seasons at the minor-pro level where through 119 career contests he has collected 18 points counting four goals and 14 assists.

In 2022-23, Mutter also spent 33 games with the ECHL’s Atlanta Gladiators in which he tallied five goals and six assists for 11 points coupled with a minus-14 mark and 63 penalty minutes.

A 24-year-old native of London, Ont., Mutter is a graduate of the Ontario Hockey League where from 2017-22 he totaled 217 appearances with the Hamilton Bulldogs and Kitchener Rangers in which he registered 27 goals and 31 assists for 58 points with 339 penalty minutes. In his final season, split between the Bulldogs and Rangers, Mutter reached a career-high 22 points coming in 62 games.

Mutter originally joined the Predators in 2022 as an undrafted free agent, agreeing to a three-year, entry-level contract. The prior year, he had earned an invite to training camp with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

For the Predators, on the season the club sits 28-42-8 and third-last in the Western Conference with 64 points. Coming away with a 7-6 overtime victory against the New York Islanders on Tuesday, the Predators will aim for their second straight win when the club returns to the ice Thursday to take on the Utah Hockey Club. This spring will mark the second time in the past three seasons in which the Predators will not compete in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
