Nashville Predators trade Viktor Arvidsson to LA Kings

The LA Kings have acquired scoring winger Viktor Arvidsson from the Nashville Predators.
In exchange, the Kings have given up a second and third-round pick in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
Arvidsson, 28, was drafted by the Predators in the fourth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft and has spent his full career with the team. In 385 career games, he’s scored 127 goals and 239 points.
The past two years have seen his offensive production. His production in all situations has dropped from nearly two thirds of a point per game down to half a point per game.
Despite that, he’s remained a productive player. At 5×5 this past season with Arvidsson on the ice, the Predators controlled 53.63 percent of the shot attempts, 59.62 percent of the goals and 53.18 percent of the expected goals — all numbers five to ten percent above team average.
Arvidsson has three years remaining on a deal paying him an AAV of $4.25-million. No salary is believed to be retained in this deal.
