New Jersey Devils sign Källgren, Dowling, Criscuolo to one-year deals
The New Jersey Devils have signed goaltender Erik Källgren and forwards Justin Dowling and Kyle Criscuolo to one-year, two-way deals worth $775,000.
Källgren moves on after a two-year run with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Källgren went 3-2-4 in 10 games with a .898 save percentage with the Leafs last year and 8-4-1 the year before, giving him a 11-6-5 record over 24 games. Källgren has gone 25-18-3 in 52 games in the AHL with Tuscon and Toronto.
Dowling, 32, has six goals and 18 points in 98 games with Dallas and Vancouver. Last year, he had 11 goals and 46 points in 56 games with Abbotsford and another three assists in the playoffs.
Criscuolo also has a bit of NHL experience with three points in 16 games over three years with Detroit, San Jose and Buffalo. He capped off the AHL season with 29 points between Grand Rapids and San Jose, and scored in his lone NHL games with the Sharks.
The Devils have $5.607 million in cap space, with these three signings likely headed straight to the AHL.
