New Jersey Devils sign Stefan Noesen to three-year, $8.25 million contract
The New Jersey Devils have signed forward Stefan Noesen to a three-year, $8.25 million contract. According to the terms of the deal, the contract will have an average annual value (AAV) of $2.75 million.

Noesen is returning to New Jersey after spending three seasons from 2017-to-2019 with the organization after being dealt by the Anaheim Ducks.
The 31-year-old spent the 2023-24 campaign with the Carolina Hurricanes where he tallied 14 goals and 23 assists for 37 points in 81 games.
Noesen was initially selected No. 21 overall by the Ottawa Senators in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. The Plano, Texas product spent four years with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) before turning pro in 2013-14 spending time in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Norfolk Admirals.
Noesen made his NHL debut in the 2014-15 season with the Ducks appearing in one game. He got a full-time role once he moved on to New Jersey prior to the 2017 season. Throughout 366 games in the NHL so far, Noesen has tallied 58 goals and 69 assists for 127 points over parts of 11 seasons with the Ducks, Hurricanes, Devils, San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Devils have continued to stay busy here during the free agency frenzy, locking up defensemen and fellow Carolina Hurricanes teammate Brett Pesce and former Winnipeg Jets defenseman Brendon Dillon to contracts.
