New Jersey Devils sign Zach Senyshyn to professional tryout
Zach Senyshyn is headed to the New Jersey Devils’ training camp on a professional tryout contract, according to a press release from the team on Wednesday.

Senyshyn will report to training camp on September 21.
Senyshyn, 25, was selected by the Boston Bruins in the first round, 15th overall, at the 2015 NHL Draft. Following a major junior career with the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL, Senyshyn began his professional career during the 2017-18 season with Boston’s AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
The forward made his NHL debut for Boston on Apr. 4, 2019 against the Minnesota Wild, also scoring his first-career goal. On Mar. 21, 2022, the Ottawa Senators acquired Senyshyn and a 2022 fifth-round pick in a trade that sent Josh Brown and a conditional 2022 seventh-round pick to the Bruins.
In 16 career NHL appearances (across four seasons) to date, Senyshyn has collected a goal and two assists. During the 2021-22 season, Senyshyn made two appearances for Ottawa but did not record a point.
Last season also saw Senyshyn play in 67 AHL games, split between the Providence Bruins and Belleville Senators. He recorded 19 goals and 15 assists for a total of 34 points. Over 259 regular-season games in the minors, he has 113 career points.
The Devils’ NHL camp opens next Wednesday (Sept. 21).
