Islanders sign Adam Beckman to one-year, two-way contract

The New York Islanders signed forward Adam Beckman to a one-year, two-way contract, according to PuckPedia.

PuckPedia is reporting that Beckman will make $775,000 in the NHL and $150,000 in the minors, with $200,000 guaranteed.

In 2024-25, Beckman scored 17 goals and 23 assists for 40 points in 55 AHL regular-season games with the Utica Comets and Bridgeport Islanders. He was traded to the Islanders by the New Jersey Devils last March in exchange for defenseman Dennis Cholowski.

In five AHL seasons, Beckman has 74 goals and 74 assists for 148 points in 236 career regular-season games with the Comets, Islanders and Iowa Wild.

He’s also played in 23 career NHL regular-season games with the Minnesota Wild, recording three assists.

Drafted by the Wild in the third round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, Beckman spent parts of four WHL seasons with the Spokane Chiefs, scoring 97 goals and 99 assists for 196 points and 153 career regular-season games. He also had eight goals and four assists for 12 points in 15 WHL Playoff games.

The Islanders went 35-35-12 with 82 points in 2024-25, finishing sixth in the Metropolitan Division and falling nine points short of the second Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

Forward Bo Horvat led the team in points with 57, scoring 28 goals and recording a team-leading 29 assists. Anders Lee led the team in goals with 29, finishing with 25 assists and 54 points. Kyle Palmer finished with 24 goals and 24 assists for 48 points.

Goaltender Ilya Sorokin finished with a 30-24-6 record, a 2.71 goals against average (GAA) and a .907 save percentage (SV%).
