New York Rangers zeroing in on Patrick Kane
On today’s episode of Daily Faceoff Live, Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk discussed an update surrounding Patrick Kane to the New York Rangers. With the New Jersey Devils acquiring the services of Timo Meier, the eyes now shift to the next big fish on the market, Patrick Kane. A deal that is close, but not done quite yet.
Kane was recently listed at the No. 2 spot in Seravalli’s Trade Targets board, but as a deal seems imminent, Kane has been removed from the board. Over the weekend we saw the Rangers trade Vitali Kravstov to the Vancouver Canucks, further indicating they are in the final stages of facilitating their push for Kane. As the Trade Deadline is just five days away, all eyes are on Kane and when he will arrive in the Big Apple. Here is Patrick Kane’s Trade Deadline player profile.
Tyler Yaremchuk: Just a quick update before we wrap up. Everyone’s expecting Patrick Kane to be traded to the New York Rangers, do you have anything new there?
Frank Seravalli: Well I think we all just continue to sit and wait. I think the belief from talking to other teams around the league is that the Rangers and Blackhawks have worked something out or multiple frameworks of a deal out that would send Patrick Kane to the Rangers at some point this week once they have the requisite cap space. Not done till it’s done, but there’s a reason why Patrick Kane is off of our Trade Targets board, as we believe he is off the market.
