New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced today that the club has signed Casey Fitzgerald to a two-year contract and Bo Groulx to a one-year contract.

Fitzgerald spent the 2023-24 season with the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the Charlotte Checkers. Fitzgerald tallied four goals and 17 assists for 21 points in 69 games, he appeared in three Calder Cup Playoff games but was held pointless.

Fitzgerald joined Florida during the 2022-23 campaign after the club claimed him off waivers from the Buffalo Sabres in January. He skated with the Cats four times during the regular season and twice again in the playoffs, where Florida advanced to the Stanley Cup Final before being ousted by the Vegas Golden Knights in six games.

Groulx spent the 2023-24 season with the Anaheim Ducks where he struggled and put up just two points in 45 games. Groulx is coming off a one-year, $775,000 contract. Groulx was originally drafted 54th overall by Anaheim in 2018 and has spent his entire pro career with the franchise.

In 65 career games, he tallied one goal and five points. Groulx is a solid two-way skater that has the ability to play a bottom-six role in the NHL. The France-born Canadian hasn’t broken through just yet, but with a change of scenery, he could find his way into the Rangers lineup. Groulx has 90 points in 145 career AHL games with the Gulls with 104 penalty minutes
