Rangers sign Gabe Perreault to entry-level contract

The New York Rangers announced Monday that the club has signed right winger Gabe Perreault to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Originally chosen 23rd overall by the Rangers in the 2023 NHL Draft, the 19-year-old forward has spent the past two campaigns with the NCAA’s Boston College Eagles. Through 37 appearances in 2024-25, Perreault put up 16 goals and 32 assists to sit second in team scoring with 48 points coupled with 25 penalty minutes and a plus-28 rating.
Perreault’s performance followed a dominant freshman showing with the Eagles in 2023-24 where through 36 games he notched 19 goals and 41 assists for 60 points to earn a spot on Hockey East’s All-Rookie Team as well as a nomination for the Hobey Baker Award, presented annually to the top college hockey player. In all, through two seasons with the Eagles, Perreault totaled 35 goals and 73 assists for 108 points in 73 career contests.
Prior to committing to the Eagles, Perreault played two seasons with the U.S. National Development Team where through 121 total appearances he registered 71 goals and 114 assists for 185 points underscored by the 2022-23 campaign that saw him amass 45 points counting 19 goals and 26 assists in only 23 outings.
The past two seasons have also seen Perreault capture back-to-back gold medal wins with Team USA at the World Juniors. Both years, Perreault put up three goals and seven assists for 10 points in seven games, with the latter year seeing him recognized as part of the World Junior’s All-Star Team. Perreault also claimed gold with the United States at the 2023 IIHF Under-18 World Championship where in only seven outings he tallied five goals and a tournament-leading 13 assists for 18 points. For his efforts, Perreault was named a top-three player of the American squad.
