Monahan, Werenski, Jarvis and Brady Tkachuk to star in Season 2 of Prime Video’s FACEOFF: Inside the NHL

Amazon is returning for more of the NHL, and they’ve secured some of the best personalities in the league.
After debuting “FACEOFF: Inside the NHL” in 2024, Amazon announced it has been working on a second season and has already confirmed that the series will follow Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk, Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Seth Jarvis, and Columbus Blue Jackets players Zach Wereknski and Sean Monohan.
In its debut season, “FACEOFF: Inside the NHL” took viewers behind the scenes and attempted to recapture the magic many fans found in the previous iterations of HBO’s Road to the Winter Classic. The six-part series offered a view on and off the ice throughout the season and some of the most intense portions of an NHL campaign.
The second season will look to do much of the same.
For Jarvis, it will follow his journey with the Hurricanes and his role in Team Canada’s championship run at the 4 Nations Face-Off, where he provided much-needed levity for a tense Canadian group with other star players. As one of the most charismatic players in the NHL, he’s quickly becoming a household name while striving for titles with Carolina and a spot on Team Canada’s Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic roster.

Meanwhile, Tkachuk’s showcase moments will come in the red, white, and blue at the international tournament, in addition to the heights he reached wearing the “C” with the Senators. For the Blue Jackets players, the NHL says it will focus on their journey to the Stadium Series against the Detroit Red Wings at The Ohio University’s Stadium, which will be played in front of over 90,000 fans.
The first season stared William Nylander, David Pastrnak, Filip Forsberg, Jack Eichel, Matthew Tkachuk, Jeremy Swayman, Gabriel Landeskog, Quinn Hughes, Jacob Trouba, Connor McDavid, Zach Hyman and Leon Draistail. For 2025, the superstar power seemingly takes a back seat for more vibrant off-ice personalities.
The NHL and Amazon have not announced when the new season will be available to stream. However, Season 1 debuted on Amazon Prime in October, days before the NHL’s 2024-25 regular season started.
