The Maple Leafs have a very difficult matchup against the Capitals after playing Tuesday at home against their provincial rivals. Washington has been the biggest surprise team to this point and will have a signficant rest advantage in this spot against Toronto.

Thursday, Nov. 14

A very busy night on the ice, and every team will have adequate rest, making for a relatively even playing field. Tampa hasn’t played since last Friday, but such a long layoff could actually work against the Lightning in their matchup with the red-hot Capitals. Thursday will mark the start of a tough stretch for the Predators, who will play three games in four nights across Western Canada.

Sunday, Nov. 17

Sunday is usually the day of the week we see the most rest mismatches. Carolina and St. Louis will cancel each other out as both teams will have played on Saturday, but Vancouver and Seattle will be at a slight disadvantage in their respective matchups against rested opponents. Nashville will be playing its third game in four days.
