NHL sets Round 2 schedule for 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Two weeks of mayhem complete, the hockey world will gather its collective breath on Monday.
Just about everyone needs it after five Game 7s to wrap up Round 1, the most in any round in more than three decades, including just the second day of two overtime Game 7s ever in the 102-year history of the postseason.
But the Stanley Cup playoffs will return with a vengeance on Tuesday, kicking off the chase for Lord Stanley’s chalice with back-to-back nights of juicy, rivalry goodness.
We’ve got the Battle of Florida alternating nights with the Battle of Alberta for most of the second round.
It’s the President’s Trophy winners against the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions. And the scrappy Pacific Division winners going up against the Edmonton McDavids.
Both the Hurricanes and Rangers survived Game 7 tests, as they hope the Panthers and Lightning beat each other up all over Alligator Alley.
And the Colorado Avalanche, whom we haven’t heard from since they dispatched Nashville in a waste of eight days for the Predators way back on May 9, will resume their quest after a week off.
Here is the full Round 2 slate for the 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs:
