NHL sets Round 2 schedule for 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs
One of the most exhilarating first couple weeks of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in recent memory saw the Toronto Maple Leafs knock off the Tampa Bay Lightning to move on to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2004, the Florida Panthers upset the Boston Bruins on their historic run, and the Seattle Kraken eliminating the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Now teams will prepare for round two and continue their quest for Lord Stanley.
The Maple Leafs will look to continue their dream run after defeating the Bolts. Still, the Panthers are also coming off an exceptional series that saw them take out the Presidents’ Trophy winner in dramatic fashion. Neither of these two teams will back down. Meanwhile, the Carolina Hurricanes await their opponent as the Devils and Rangers battle it out in game seven fashion on Monday.
With the Kraken already making tremendous strides this season and knocking out the Avs in Game 7, one has to wonder how long the Kraken can remain fighting as they get ready to take on the Dallas Stars. While Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and the Oilers will be in a rough one against Mark Stone, Jack Eichel and the Golden Knights.
