The Edmonton Oilers announced that they have re-signed defenseman Noel Hoefenmayer to a one-year, two-way contract. According to the details of the contract, he will be paid $775,000.

Hoefenamyer spent the 2023-24 campaign with the Oilers’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the Bakersfield Condors where he tallied seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 47 games.

Hoefemanyer signed his entry-level contract last summer with Edmonton. Hoefenmayer completed his first AHL season during the 2022-23 season, scoring 11 goals, 38 points and 114 penalty minutes in 65 games with the Toronto Marlies. He had 40 points in 46 ECHL games the year before, and has 47 points in 91 AHL games overall, all with the Marlies.

The Arizona Coyotes drafted him in 2017, but he wasn’t signed when his rights were up in 2019, leaving the Marlies to sign him to a minor league deal in 2020-21.
