Senators’ Nick Jensen day-to-day with undisclosed injury

Jensen was originally chosen by the Red Wings in the fifth round of the 2009 NHL Draft.

Per PuckPedia, Jensen is in the second year of a three-year contract that carries a $4.05-million annual average value.

In Jensen’s absence, the Senators will see veteran rearguard Travis Hamonic re-enter the lineup when the club takes on the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday. Sidelined for the past 10 games due to a lower-body ailment, Hamonic has been limited to 37 appearances in 2024-25 in which he has notched three assists and a minus-10 rating.

The Senators and Maple Leafs have connected once previously this season, a mid-November contest in which Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark turned aside 27 shots en route to 3-0 road victory.
