Penguins sign Finn Harding to entry-level contract

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Monday that they have signed Finn Harding to a three-year, entry-level contract.
According to President and General Manager Kyle Dubas the contract will begin in the 2025-26 season.
Harding was originally selected by Pittsburgh in the seventh round of the 2024 NHL Draft.

Harding has spent the 2024-25 season with the Brampton Steelheads of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) where he has tallied seven goals and 48 assists for a career high 55 points in 59 games this season while serving as an alternate captain. Harding’s 48 assists are a single season franchise record among Steelheads defensemen.
Through 190 career games with the Steelheads, the Toronto, Ontario native has notched 19 goals and 80 assists for 99 points and is a plus-90. Harding has tallied one goal and three points in 11 OHL Playoff games.
Harding is one of four NHL-affiliated defenders on the Steelheads. Seattle’s Jakub Fibigr, Minnesota’s Stevie Leskovar and Anaheim’s Konnor Smith are the others.
Fibgir has racked up 24 assists and 28 points in 49 games, Leskovar has notched three popoints and 58 penalty minutes, while Konnor Smith has tallied five points in 23 games since his arrival via trade.
Harding also plays with his brother Jared who is a 2007-born defensemen and has racked up one point in 14 games of OHL action.
Brampton currently sits fifth in the Eastern Conference with a 29-20-10-0 record and 68 points through 59 games.
The Penguins sit eighth in the Metropolitan Division with a 24-29-10 record and 58 points through 53 games. Pittsburgh is slated to face the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday and the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday.
