PointsBet Daily Bets: Washington Capitals Puckline & Blue Jackets/Ducks Over 6.5

Just four games on a small Friday slate tonight. Yaremchuk provides you with all your betting and odds needs for tonight’s matchups including the Washington Capitals vs St Louis Blues and the Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Anaheim Ducks.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s dig into it courtesy of our friends at PointsBet Canada. Starting with the matchup between the St Louis Blues and Washington Capitals. I like taking the Capitals on the Puckline at +140 and the Blues have been sputtering out as of late, they’re 3-5-2 in their last 10 games. The Capitals are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games and that’s not great but they are expecting to go with Darcy Kuemper between the pipes tonight. There’s no Jordan Binnington for the Blues,  they are going with Joel Hofer who I think long term could be a good NHL goalie but I don’t hate betting against him in this goaltender matchup. So it’s Capitals on the Puckline and I am also eyeing up the Over 6.5 between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Anaheim Ducks. It could be Lukas Dostal taking on Michael Hutchinson tonight, that’s a decent goalie matchup and the over has hit in back to back games for the Ducks and three of their last four games for the Blue Jackets. I like taking the Over 6.5 between Blue Jackets and Ducks and taking the Capitals on the Puckline.
