PointsBet Daily Picks: Caufield/Dahlin & Carlson shot props

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Mike McKenna on Tuesday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live for another PointsBet Daily Picks segment. 

Nine games on the slate tonight and Tyler Yaremchuk brings you all your betting needs for tonight’s matchups between the Vancouver Canucks vs Buffalo Sabres, Montreal Canadiens vs New Jersey Devils, and Washington Capitals vs Florida Panthers. 

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s move on to our PointsBet Daily Picks segment. Three plays on the slate tonight for me and they’re all player-shot props because I love that our friends at PointsBet Canada have these up so let’s dig into it. Starting with Cole Caufield, the line is set at 3.5 and it is paying +130, which is unreal value. He has hit this in four of five games and you give me +130 on that, I am betting it every single day of the week so I love this spot with the Habs.

The second play I have is Rasmus Dahlin at over 2.5 shots, it’s paying nowhere close to what Caufield is at -180 but Dahlin has hit this eight times in a row and 12 out of 14 games this year. This is a guy who should have his line set at 3.5, not 2.5. As long as the books keep putting it out there at 2.5, I’m going to keep betting on it. So even though the payout is not great, Dahlin is my second shot prop. I am sticking with a D-man for my third bet, I’m going with John Carlson at over 2.5 shots, this one a bit closer to even money at -110. He’s hit this in eight of 11 games so far this season, so I love going with John Carlson to hit his shot prop as well. To recap, Caufield is over 3.5, and Dahlin and Carlson at over 2.5.
