Predators’ Colton Sissons out day-to-day with upper-body injury
The Nashville Predators announced that forward Colton Sissons will be out day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will miss Thursday’s game vs the Florida Panthers.
Sissons left Wednesday’s 3-2 loss to the Washington Capitals after blocking a shot with his hand and did not return to the game.

— Nashville Predators (@PredsNHL) November 7, 2024The 31-year-old has tallied one point in 13 games to start the year in what has been a difficult start for the Predators 2024-25 season.
Last season, Sissons notched a career-high 15 goals and 20 assists for 35 points in 81 games. Sissons added one goal in six Stanley Cup Playoff contests.
Sissons is in the sixth year of a seven-year contract with a $2,857,143 cap hit that he signed with Nashville in 2019. The North Vancouver native has spent the entirety of his career with the Predators.
Sissons was originally selected No. 50 overall in the 2012 NHL Draft. Following a successful Western Hockey League (WHL) tenure with the Kelowna Rockets, Sissons made his way to the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2013-14 playing for the Preds’ affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals. During that season, Sissons tallied 44 points in 52 games; he would later become the Admirals’ captain in 2015-16. Sissons found a regular role in Nashville’s lineup in 2016-17.
Nashville currently poses a record 4-8-1 with nine points and sits eighth in the Central Division. Following Thursday’s game against the Panthers, Nashville will face the Utah Hockey Club on Saturday and the Colorado Avalanche on Monday.
