PWHL Toronto made another move in their offseason, re-signing forward Hannah Miller to a one-year contract extension Friday.

In 23 regular-season games last season, Miller had seven goals and seven assists for 14 points, including two game-winning goals during the team’s historic 11-game winning streak.

In Toronto’s playoff series against PWHL Minnesota, Miller had a goal and two assists.

“Hannah was a key part of our team’s success in the inaugural season. She is a strong power forward that plays a 200-foot game,” Toronto General Manager Gina Kingsbury said in a team statement. “We are happy to have her sign an extension and we look forward to her continued impact on PWHL Toronto!”

“I’m super excited to be staying in Toronto for another season,” Miller said in a post shared through Toronto’s X account. “I can’t wait to get back on the ice in front of the best fans in the world and start working towards our ultimate goal of bringing a championship back to the city.”

Before joining Toronto in 2023-24, Miller spent five seasons in China and Russia with the KRS Vanke Rays Shenzhen, where in 2022-23, she scored 25 goals and 23 assists for 48 points in 32 games. She also played briefly with Djurgardens IF in Sweden, scoring 12 goals and seven assists for 19 points in 25 games.

Before turning pro, she spent her college career with St. Lawrence University, where over four seasons she scored 43 goals and 80 assists for 123 points in 124 games.

Internationally, she won two U18 gold medals with Canada in 2013 and 2014, and represented China at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, where she scored a goal in four games.
