Report: Blackhawks sign Tuevo Teravainen to three-year, $5.4 million AAV
According to reports the Chicago Blackhawks have brought back a familiar face. Chicago will be signing forward Teuvo Teravaninen to a three-year contract. The reported contract will have an average annual value (AAV) of $5.4 million.

Teravainen added two goals and six points in 11 Stanley Cup Playoff contests as Carolina was eliminated by the New York Rangers.
Teravanien came to Carolina after winning the Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks in 2015 before being traded to the Hurricanes in a cap-clearing move the following year. The Finnish winger quickly emerged as one of Carolina’s top scorers, although he regressed somewhat in the 2022–23 regular season with just 12 goals and 37 points in 68 games.
Teravainen was initially selected No. 18 overall in the 2012 NHL Draft. After a big season with Jokerit in the LIIGA, The Finnish forward made his NHL debut during the 2013-14 season. Through 670 NHL games, Teravainen has collected 155 goals and 304 assists for 459 points with the Hurricanes and Blackhawks. Teravainen has added 23 goals and 27 assists for 50 points in 90 games.
It seems Chicago is continuing to build around Connor Bedard, adding Teravainen and going after former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Tyler Bertuzzi.
