Sharks sign Noah Beck to entry-level contract

The San Jose Sharks announced Tuesday that the club has signed defenseman Noah Beck to a one-year, entry-level contract to begin in the 2025-26 campaign.
Through 37 games this season with the NCAA’s Arizona State Sun Devils, Beck collected five goals and 28 assists to rank fifth in team scoring and first among defensemen with 33 points.
Prior to joining the Sun Devils, Beck spent four seasons with the NCAA’s Clarkson Golden Knights underscored by the 2022-23 campaign that saw him finish with 23 points counting six goals and 17 assists in 37 games to rank fourth in team scoring and first among defensemen. For his efforts, Beck was named to the ECAC’s Third All-Star Team at year’s end. The season prior, Beck was recognized as part of the ECAC’s Second All-Star Team after he registered five goals and 17 assists for 22 points in 37 games. In all, through five seasons in the collegiate ranks, Beck totaled 20 goals and 69 assists for 89 points in 161 career contests.
Before shifting to college hockey, Beck spent a single season with the USHL’s Fargo Force that saw him finish fifth in team scoring and first among defensemen after posting 27 points counting four goals and 23 assists coming in 42 appearances. A 24-year-old native of Richmond Hill, Ont., Beck also spent part of two seasons with the OJHL’s St. Michael’s Buzzers from 2017-19. Through 54 games in 2018-19, Beck scored once and added 24 assists for 25 points to earn a spot on the OJHL’s Second All-Prospect Team.
Beck was originally chosen by the St. Louis Blues in the seventh round of the 2020 NHL Draft. The budding blue-liner is also the older sibling of Jack Beck, a former Calgary Flames draftee who is currently competing with the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers.
