The Seattle Kraken are planning to select Joonas Donskoi from the Colorado Avalance.

The news was reported by The Athletic’s Ryan S. Clark.

Donskoi, 29, has played the last two years with the Avalanche scoring 33 goals and 64 points in 116 games. Largely a middle-six forward, Donskoi had moderate offensive impacts but struggled in his own zone last year.

Originally drafted by the Florida Panthers in the 2010 draft, Donskoi never played a game for the team and signed as a free agent with the San Jose Sharks in 2015 before joining the Avalanche in 2019.
