The Seattle Kraken announced Monday that the club has signed center Andrei Loshko to a three-year, entry-level contract. Loshko was originally chosen by the Kraken in the fourth round of the 2023 NHL Draft.

Through 67 appearances this season with the OHL’s Niagara IceDogs, the 20-year-old Belarusian-born forward collected 34 goals and 36 assists to rank third in team scoring with 70 points. Loshko then added another two goals and four assists for six points through five playoff outings with the IceDogs.

Prior to joining the IceDogs, Loshko spent the three prior seasons in the Canadian junior circuit with the QMJHL’s Chicoutimi Sagueneens and Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. In 2022-23, in his second season with the Sagueneens, Loshko paced the squad with 70 points counting 22 goals and 48 assists coming in 67 games. As part of the Huskies the following season, Loshko ranked second in team scoring after putting up 67 points counting 28 goals and 39 assists through 64 appearances. In all, through four seasons in the Canadian Hockey League, Loshko totaled 100 goals and 133 assists for 233 points through 246 total appearances. Loshko also added 18 points through 23 playoff games.

Loshko was originally chosen 46th overall by Chicoutimi in the 2021 CHL Import Draft. He later joined the IceDogs ahead of the 2024-25 campaign via waivers. Beyond his time in Canadian juniors, Loshko has also seen success in international competition, underscored by a five-game showing with his native Belarus at the 2021 IIHF Under-18 World Championship in which he put up one goal and one assist for two points.

For the Kraken, on the season the club sits 33-38-6. In the midst of a two-game winning streak, the Kraken will aim for their third consecutive victory when the squad retakes the ice Monday against the Los Angeles Kings.
