“We’re pleased to welcome both Nolan and Mike as new members of the Senators’ organization. In addition to Daniel, Ben, Justin and Mike’s respective return, we’re confident that this coaching staff represents a strong blend of experience and one that will provide Travis with high-level support while they collectively lead our team going forward,” said Steve Staios President of Hockey Operation and GM.
“I’m very excited to work with this group. I think it represents a great combination of knowledge, coaching experience, youthfulness and playing experience, all of which are integral components to a coaching staff’s success. I’m of firm belief that we’ll be able to proactively collaborate as a group in the name of team success while establishing a winning culture, said head coach Travis Green.
Baumgartner and Green become reacquainted on the same coaching staff again. Baumgartner spent nine seasons together between the Utica Comets and Vancouver Canucks with Baumgartner an Assistant Coach on Green’s staff.
Yeo has 24 years of coaching experience between the AHL and NHL. Most recently Yeo spent the last two seasons as an Assistant Coach with the Vancouver Canucks. Prior to that, he had time spent with the Pittsburgh Penguins, winning the Stanley Cup in 2009, as a Head Coach with the Minnesota Wild, as an Associate Coach and subsequently as Head Coach with the St. Louis Blues. He also worked alongside Claude Giroux with the Philadelphia Flyers in 2022.
