Seth Jarvis to replace Travis Konecny in Canada’s lineup for 4 Nations final
A change down the lineup for Team Canada in the lead-up to the 4 Nations Face-Off Championship Game.
Canadian head coach Jon Cooper confirmed that forward Seth Jarvis will replace Travis Konecny in the lineup for the team’s final matchup with the United States on Thursday night in Boston.
Jarvis, who was scratched on Monday afternoon in Canada’s do-or-die game against Finland, told the media that he found out that he was playing in the final Thursday morning.

Jarvis admitted, “This is probably the biggest game of my hockey career.”
He is projected to be on the fourth line alongside Sam Bennett and Brad Marchand.
Konecy played in the tournament’s opening game against Sweden and this past Monday against Finland. The Philadelphia Flyers veteran failed to score a point, registering a plus/minus of -3.
Thursday night will mark Jarvis’ third game of the tournament. He posted an assist in the team’s 4-3 overtime win against Sweden last Wednesday and has an even plus/minus after finishing as a -1 in 11 minutes of action against the U.S. in their 3-1 loss this past Saturday.
The 4 Nations Face-Off is the second time that the Winnipeg, Manitoba native has ever represented his country. Since taking home the silver medal at the 2019 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, Jarvis hasn’t played for Canada. He did play the Canadians at the 2018-19 Under-17 World Hockey Challenge.
Jarvis earned a spot on the Team Canada roster by becoming one of the more underrated scoring threats in the NHL. With the Carolina Hurricanes, the 23-year-old posted a career-high 67 points last season and could break that mark this year, having notched 45 points in 49 games thus far.
