Sharks’ Klim Kostin exits game vs St. Louis Blues
The San Jose Sharks announced that forward Klim Kostin would not return to Thursday’s game versus the St. Louis Blues.
At the time Kostin left the game, it was 4-2 San Jose. Kostin logged 11 shifts totaling 11:05 minutes of ice time and six hits.

Last season, the Sharks acquired the Russian native from the Detroit Red Wings for defenseman Radim Simek and the New Jersey Devils’ seventh-round pick in 2024.
Kostin was initially drafted by the the Blues, No. 31 overall in the 2017 NHL Draft. Kostin, who stands 6-foot-4, and weighs 216 pounds, made his American Hockey League (AHL) debut in 2017-18 with the Blues affiliate the the San Antonio Rampage. That season, Kostin registered 22 assists and 28 points in 67 games. Kostin spent part of three seasons with the Blues, scoring five goals and six assists for 11 points in 46 games.
The 25-year-old was traded to the Edmonton Oilers for Dmitri Samorukov in October 2022. In 57 games with the Oilers in 2022-23, Kostin scored 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points.
