The San Jose Sharks have signed Ty Deallandrea to a two-year, $2.6 million contract.

The contract has an average annual value (AAV) of $1.3 million per season.

Dellandrea was acquired from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round draft pick in the week leading up to the 2024 NHL Draft in Las Vegas.

The 23-year-old collected two goals and seven assists for nine points in 42 games with the Stars during the 2023-24 regular season. He added one goal in six games with the club in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Stars originally selected Dellandrea No. 13 overall in the 2018 NHL Draft. The Port Perry, Ontario product appeared in parts of four seasons with the Stars to begin his professional career. Through 151 career games over parts of four NHL seasons with the Stars, Dellandrea has collected 14 goals and 42 points. He’s tacked on four goals in 22 career playoff contests.

Prior to his pro career, Dellandrea spent time with the Flint Firebirds in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) where he recorded a solid 216 points in 231 games in his four-year stint. Throughout his major junior career, Dellandrea also won gold at the 2017 Hlinka Gretzky and 2020 World Junior Championship.

With the Sharks locking up Deallandrea, they bolster their roster with even more NHL talent after claiming Barclay Goodrow off waivers from the New York Rangers, signing Tyler Toffoli and Alex Wennberg and acquiring Carl Grundstrom via trade from Los Angeles.
