Should the Jets bench Connor Hellebuyck for Game 4 vs. Stars?

Would a change between the pipes give an added boost to the Winnipeg Jets?
On Monday’s episode of Daily Faceoff LIVE, Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk chatted about Connor Hellebuyck’s continued playoff struggles and whether the Jets should go with Eric Comrie in Game 4 against the Dallas Stars.
Frank Seravalli: The Jets are asking all sorts of questions which includes, ‘Should Hellebuyck even start Game 4?’
Tyler Yaremchuk: That was going to be my next question for you. The idea that Hellebuyck should sit on the bench in Game 4 is [blank]?
Frank Seravalli: Worthy. It’s a worthy idea. Whether or not it happens, it’s a worthy discussion point because Hellebuyck played three road games last series and was pulled in all three. He wasn’t great in his fourth one here against the Stars. He allowed five goals against. You could make the argument of, ‘Well, Hellebuyck isn’t the reason why they’re losing.’ That’s fair, but at five goals against, he’s not giving you the opportunity to win. Comrie’s numbers are good. I think Hellebuyck could use a full and total mental reset. And then look at the jolt you might give to your team, which has not been a good road team, who is 1-8 in their last nine playoff games on the road. That’s not going to cut it. So the team gets a jolt and Comrie gets more of a taste of the playoffs this year. He’s already played three games in light of Hellebuyck being pulled, and his numbers are decent. Give your team an opportunity to win. Either way, you’re going back to Hellebuyck for Game 5, but I think it makes sense to at least entertain the idea if you’re not going to do it.
