The St. Louis Blues announced Friday that forward Dylan Holloway will be out of the lineup on a week-to-week basis after suffering a lower-body injury.

Facing the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday, Holloway left late in the first period and did not return after sustaining the injury. Skating in his first season with the Blues, Holloway has made 77 appearances in which he has racked up 26 goals and 37 assists to rank third in team scoring with 63 points.

Joining the Blues last offseason following a successful offer sheet signing, Holloway previously played part of three seasons with the Edmonton Oilers, including the 2023-24 campaign where he put up nine points through 38 regular season appearances before adding another five goals and two assists through 25 postseason outings en route to the Stanley Cup Final.

Per PuckPedia, Holloway is in the first year of a two-year contract that carries a $2,290,457 cap hit. In signing with the Blues, the Oilers were compensated with a third-round selection in the upcoming NHL Draft. Holloway was originally chosen 14th overall by the Oilers in the 2020 NHL Draft.

The hottest team in hockey, the Blues have rocketed up the standings in recent weeks backed by an 11-game winning streak that has pushed the club to a 42-28-7 record and into the first wildcard seed in the Western Conference with 91 points. The Blues have qualified for the playoffs in four of the past six seasons, underscored by the franchise’s first-ever Stanley Cup championship coming in 2019.

The Blues will look to push their win streak to 12 games when the club returns to the ice Saturday against the Central Division rival Colorado Avalanche. The two sides have met three times previously this season, including a 2-1 road victory for the Blues coming last Saturday.
