Blues’ Tyler Tucker day-to-day with undisclosed injury

St. Louis Blues head coach Jim Montgomery confirmed Tuesday that defenseman Tyler Tucker is considered day-to-day with an undisclosed injury and will not be in the lineup Wednesday for Game 5 versus the Winnipeg Jets.

In Game 4, Tucker exited late in the third period after suffering an apparent injury and did not return. The Blues ultimately prevailed in a 5-1 victory to tie the opening-round series at two wins apiece.

After being scratched for the first game of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Tucker has since made three appearances in which he has recorded one goal and four penalty minutes while averaging 14:24 in time on ice per game.

Originally chosen by St. Louis in the seventh round of the 2018 NHL Draft, Tucker split the 2024-25 campaign between the Blues and the club’s minor-league affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds. In 38 games with the Blues, Tucker registered three goals and four assists for seven points coupled with 55 penalty minutes and a plus-four rating, while through 19 appearances with the AHL squad he scored four times and added six assists for 10 points with 39 penalty minutes and a plus-six mark.

In all, through part of three seasons with the Blues counting 90 career contests, Tucker has posted five goals and eight assists for 13 points with 128 penalty minutes. The 25-year-old native of Thunder Bay, Ont., has also added 11 goals and 45 assists for 56 points over six seasons and 167 total appearances in the minors.

With Tucker sidelined, the Blues have recalled defenseman Corey Schueneman from Springfield. This season, Schueneman saw four appearances with the Blues, while the majority of his playing time came with the Thunderbirds where through 63 games he tallied four goals and 16 assists for 20 points. Schueneman originally joined the Blues last offseason as an unrestricted free agent.
