The Dallas Stars announced that forward Logan Stankoven will miss Friday’s game vs. Colorado Avalanche.

Stankoven has tallied four goals and 11 assists fpr 15 points in 21 games this season.

The Kamloops, British Columbia product racked up 14 points in 24 games last season with Dallas after he tore up the American Hockey League (AHL) tallying 57 points in 24 games with the Texas Stars.

Stankoven recorded eight goals and 15 points in 10 games during the month of November, earning him AHL Rookie of the Mont In February, he joined teammates Mavrik Bourque and Matěj Blümel at the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic in San Jose, California, representing the Central Division.

Stankoven had an illustrious Western Hockey League (WHL) career with the Kamloops Blazers that saw him capture the WHL and CHL Player of the Year Awards in 2021-22 after tallying 104 points. Kamloops hosted the 2023 KIA Memorial Cup.

He notched 97 points in just 48 games after missing time playing for Team Canada at the World Juniors and sidelined with an injury. During the WHL Playoffs, Stankoven – despite being eliminated a round prior – still led the WHL with 10 goals and 30 points in 14 WHL Playoff contests. He added nine points in four Memorial Cup games.

Dallas is currnetly third in the Central Division with a 13-8-0 record with 26 points, tied with the Colorado Avalanche. Dallas is slated to face off the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday, and the Utah Hockey Club on Monday.
