Stars’ Roope Hintz out for Game 5 vs. Avalanche
Dallas Stars head coach Pete DeBoer announced that forward Roope Hintz will be out of the lineup for Game 5 vs. Colorado and is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Hintz left Game 4 after taking an awkward bump from Avalanche defenseman Sean Walker, Hintz logged eight shifts and 6:35 minutes of ice time.
Roope Hintz will not play tonight in Game #5 as the Stars look to close out the Avs.

Hintz has tallied two goals and four assists for six points in 11 Stanley Cup Playoff contests, he ranks tied for fifth among Stars’ skaters with veteran Tyler Seguin.
The 27-year-old notched 30 goals and 35 assists for 65 points in 80 games this season. This was Hintz’s third straight 30-goal campaign, he set a career-high of 37 goals in back-to-back seasons.
Hintz is coming off his best season in the NHL, as he had 37 goals, 38 assists and 75 points in 73 games in the 2022-23 season. It’s the second time he’s finished above a point per game in a season, as he also had 43 points in 41 games in 2020-21. He also continued that play into the playoffs, where he had 10 goals, 14 assists and 24 points in 19 games as the Stars were eliminated in the Western Conference Final by the Vegas Golden Knights.
Forward Radek Faksa will draw into the lineup. Faksa has tallied one goal in four Stanley Cup Playoffs thus far.
