The 32-year-old had a strong start to the 2024-25 season, scoring nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points in 19 games, on pace for his most productive season since his 80-point campaign in 2018-19.

Seguin was taken No. 2 overall by the Bruins in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, immediately making the team. He played a limited role but helped the club win the Stanley Cup in 2011, scoring three goals and four assists for seven points in 13 games that spring.
After two more seasons in Boston, the winger was traded to the Stars, along with Rich Peverley and Ryan Button in exchange for Loui Eriksson, Joe Morrow, Reilly Smith and Matt Fraser.
Upon arriving in Dallas, Seguin hit the ground running, scoring a career-high 37 goals and 47 assists for 84 points in 2013-14, then scoring at least 72 points in his next five seasons.
The Stars are 16-8-0 with 32 points, third in the Central Division and seventh overall in the NHL. Forward Matt Duchene leads the team with 28 points (12 goals and 16 assists), with Mason Marchment right behind him with 24 points (10 goals and 14 assists).
