Corson Ceulemans joined Liam Horrobin for episode two of the Daily Face-off Prospect Show.
Ceulemans spent his two years of junior hockey in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the league’s juggernauts: the Brooks Bandits. He wasn’t around long, but Ceulemans came away with a couple of championships to his name. After his season with OHA Edmonton, he joined the Bandits who went on to win both an AJHL and National Championship. The following season, he joined Brooks full time and in two years played in 56 games scoring nine goals and 46 points.
Ceulemans is ranked as an A prospect for the upcoming draft following in the footsteps of former AJHLers Jacob Bernard-Docker (Ottawa – Okotoks) and Cale Makar (Colorado – Brooks). The Brooks star is committed to the University of Wisconsin, a hotbed for producing NHL talent in recent memory. Of course, Ceulemans hopes to become the next Badger to hear his name called in the first round of the NHL draft.
During the interview, Liam and Corson discuss his jump from U18 AAA to Junior, his experiences with Team Canada, and his thoughts on the AJHL.
