News was breaking all around the NHL over the weekend and to help you get back up to speed, Jason Gregor and Frank Seravalli have a new Monday edition of The DFO Rundown for you.
The show kicked off with the news that Corey Perry is signing with the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers, who are currently on a 13 game win streak, are expected to sign the former Hart Trophy for around a league minimum cost. Frank Seravalli went over the process Perry went through and a few of the teams that were involved in discussions with him.
Moving on from there, the New York Islanders made a coaching change bringing in Patrick Roy, who most recently coached the Quebec Remparts in the QMJHL. Roy replaces Lane Lambert and comes into a team fight for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Can they get it done? Jason and Frank gave their thoughts on their chances.
Also on the show, Tyler Yaremchuk joined for his fill in the blank segment. Along with that, Jason and Frank discussed the LA Kings slide, Jonathan Quick’s return to LA and the NHL All Star game.
