Frank Seravalli was joined by Mike McKenna to discuss some interesting tidbits from the first round of the playoffs on the latest episode of Daily Faceoff Live.

Frank Seravalli: Here’s Mike McKenna to close out the show with Garbage Time. What caught your attention Mike?

Mike McKenna: It’s just pretty amazing for me to see that Boston and the New York Rangers, two teams that went all-in at the trade deadline, even Tampa, they’re all out of the playoffs. And Frank, teams that largely stood pat and added small pieces to the puzzle like the Stars and Golden Knights are still in it. All of the hopes on all of those all-in teams, that’s all on the Toronto Maple Leafs. They are the one team left that really shook up their roster at the trade deadline.

Frank Seravalli: I can’t help but agree, statistically the teams that swing biggest tend to not go on the deepest runs. Interesting that from the Tampa Bay perspective some news to point out today. Tanner Jeannot played through that first round series with a high ankle sprain so lots of that injury news from round one beginning to seep out.
