USA, Canada, Sweden, Finland to play in 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase

USA Hockey announced today that the World Junior Summer Showcase will be held in Plymouth, Michigan from July 26-August 3 at USA Hockey Arena. The showcase tournament will consist of the USA, Canada, Sweden and Finland.
The tournament is used as an evaluation for players seeking to represent their respective national teams for the 2025 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship that is set for Dec. 26, 2024, through Jan. 5, 2025, in Ottawa, Ontario.
The 2024 World Junior Summer Showcase is set to take place from July 26 to August 3 at @USAHockeyArena! In addition to the U.S., teams from Canada, Finland, and Sweden will also participate ahead of the 2025 World Juniors. #WJSS

Last year’s installment of the tournament featured two groups of USA teams, Finland and Sweden. It featured standout forwards and NHL prospects Filip Bystedt (San Jose Sharks), Axel Sandin Pellika (Detroit Red Wings) Cutter Gauthier (Anaheim Ducks), Gavin Brindley (Columbus Blue Jackets), Charlie Stramel (Minnesota Wild), Ryan Leonard (Washington Capitals), Gabe Perreault (New York Rangers) Will Smith (San Jose Sharks) and many more.
Future draft prospects like James Hagens, Michael Misa, Gavin McKenna and other young stars could be considered for spots on these rosters. Hagens became the youngest player ever at 16-years-old to suit up in the WJSS last year.
