Utah Hockey Club presents logos for three potential team names
Logos depicting the three nicknames under consideration for the Utah Hockey Club were revealed on social media Monday and later confirmed by Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli.
Presented as the final three choices as Utah moves toward confirming its long-term name, the trio of nicknames include the Utah Mammoth, Utah Outlaws, and Utah Hockey Club. While Mammoth and Outlaws show a logo matching their moniker, the Utah Hockey Club option depicts a yeti face within a mountain backdrop. Previously, the franchise was considering Utah Yeti for its long-term name, but last week announced that it had abandoned efforts to secure a trademark agreement with the YETI cooler and drinkware manufacturer.
Can confirm these are the official logos that have been presented to @utahhockeyclub fans as part of their team name vote.

Last week also saw the franchise present Utah Hockey Club, Utah Mammoth, and Utah Wasatch as its three finalists before later swapping out Wasatch in favor of Utah Outlaws.
With the team in the midst of a four-game homestand, locals will have the opportunity to vote on their preferred logo and name at polling kiosks stationed throughout the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Tuesday’s home contest against the Central Division rival St. Louis Blues will be the last opportunity for fans to vote on the three finalists.
The latest voting stage follows an initial announcement of 20 possible team names that was later shortlisted to six names and later three finalists. To note, each of the three logos maintains the rock black, salt white, and mountain blue color scheme that Utah uses on its inaugural season jerseys.
The Utah Hockey Club began play in Salt Lake City this season following the transfer of the former Arizona Coyotes.
