Utah Hockey Club sign Cameron Hebig to one-year contract

Utah Hockey Club announced Thursday that they have signed Cameron Hebig to a one-year, two-way contract.
Hebig has been playing for Utah’s American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the Tuscon Roadrunners where he has racked up 20 goals and 17 assists for 37 points and 24 penalty minutes in 48 games this season. Hebig ranks tied for first in goals and third in points among all Roadrunners skaters, setting new AHL career highs. Hebig represented Tuscon at the AHL All-Star Classic.

— Utah Hockey Club (@utahhockeyclub) March 6, 2025Hebig has spent much of his career in the AHL with Tuscon and the Edmonton Oilers farm team the Bakersfield Condors, totalling 71 goals and 88 assists for 159 points and 180 PIM in 365 regular season games. Hebig ranks second in Roadrunners franchise history in games played with 269, fourth in goals with 57 and 123 points. He also played 33 ECHL contests with the Wichita Thunder and Florida Everblades from 2019-21, tallying 11 goals and 23 assists for 34 points and 14 PIM.
The 28-year-old spent five seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Saskatoon Blades and Regina Pats. His best season came in 2017-18 where he tallied 90 points in 68 games. Throughout his five years in the WHL, Hebig totalled 98 goals and 127 assists for 225 points and 136 PIM in 264 games.
In an interview following the AHL All-Star Classic, Hebig spoke on what it meant to him to represent Tuscon. “It was awesome just to get this opportunity and experience this,” Hebig said. “It was such a great two days, and they put on such a great show for us. What an experience having the family here and all that goes with that. It was just so much fun and I’m just so thankful to be here.”
