Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel undergoes artificial disk replacement surgery
Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel underwent artificial disk replacement surgery Friday and early reports are the procedure was successful, Sportsnet’s Jeff Marek reported.
Eichel, 25, underwent the surgery at the Rocky Mountain Spine Clinic in Denver Colorado, ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski reported Thursday.
Eichel is now set to spend three weeks in Denver recovering before returning to Las Vegas to continue rehab.
Earlier Friday, Golden Knights GM Kelly McCrimmon joined a Vancouver sports talk show where he said that rehab is expected to take anywhere from three-to-five months.
The superstar forward was acquired by Vegas last week from the Buffalo Sabres.
