Golden Knights sign Adin Hill to six-year contract extension

The Vegas Golden Knights announced Friday that the club has signed goaltender Adin Hill to a six-year contract extension that carries a $6.25-million annual average value.

Currently in his third season with the Nevada-based club, Hill has seen 39 appearances with the Golden Knights in 2024-25 in which he has posted a 24-11-4 record coupled with a .906 save percentage, 2.53 goals-against average, and four shutouts.

Originally joining the Golden Knights in the 2022 offseason from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a fourth-round draft choice, Hill’s three seasons in Vegas have totaled 101 outings in which he has posted a 59-30-7 record alongside a .910 save percentage, 2.58 goals-against average, and six shutouts. In 2023, Hill guided the Golden Knights to the franchise’s first-ever Stanley Cup title, winning 14 of 16 postseason games in which he recorded a .932 save percentage, 2.17 goals-against average, and a pair of shutouts en route to the championship.

A third-round selection in the 2015 NHL Draft by the former Arizona Coyotes, Hill has totaled 175 career contests between the Coyotes, Sharks, and Golden Knights in which he is 88-62-12 with a .909 save percentage, 2.64 goals-against average, and 11 shutouts.

The 28-year-old native of Comox, B.C., has also seen success in international competition, most recently joining Canada in a backup capacity at the 4 Nations Face-Off. In 2021, Hill helped Canada to a gold medal finish at the IIHF World Championship where through three outings he went 1-1-0 with a .909 save percentage and 1.73 goals-against average.

For the Golden Knights, on the season the club sits atop the Pacific Division with a 39-19-7 record and 85 points. Following Thursday’s road victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Golden Knights will try for their second consecutive win when the squad returns to the ice Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres.
