Golden Knights sign Jackson Hallum to entry-level contract

The Vegas Golden Knights announced Wednesday that the club has signed left winger Jackson Hallum to a two-year, entry-level contract. Hallum was originally chosen by Vegas in the third round of the 2020 NHL Draft.
Through 36 appearances this season with the NCAA’s Michigan Wolverines, Hallum finished with eight goals and nine assists for 17 points coupled with 18 penalty minutes and a minus-three rating. In all, through three seasons with the Wolverines, Hallum totaled 17 goals with 25 assists for 42 points through 84 career contests.
Prior to committing to the Wolverines, Hallum spent two seasons in the USHL from 2020-22. In his second season, split between the Green Bay Gamblers and Dubuque Fighting Saints, Hallum notched a career-high 70 points counting 29 goals and 41 assists through 62 appearances. In all, through 77 career contests in the USHL, Hallum totaled 35 goals and 47 assists for 82 points.
The 22-year-old native of Eagan, Minn., is the sixth player to sign an entry-level contract with the Golden Knights in recent weeks. In March, the Golden Knights came to terms with Kitchener Rangers forward Trent Swick, Guelph Storm graduate Braeden Bowman and Red Deer Rebels alum Kai Uchacz, both of whom have been skating with the AHL affiliated Henderson Silver Knights this season, as well as Northeastern Huskies goaltender Cameron Whitehead and Providence Friars forward Trevor Connelly, the 19th overall selection from the 2024 NHL Draft.
For the Golden Knights, on the season the club sits atop the Pacific Division with a 45-21-8 record and 98 points. Despite a regulation loss to the divisional rival Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, help from the out-of-town scoreboard helped the Golden Knights clinch their spot in the upcoming Stanley Cup Playoffs, marking the seventh time in the franchise’s eight-year history that it will compete in the postseason.
