Golden Knights sign Trevor Connelly to entry-level contract

The Vegas Golden Knights announced Tuesday that the club has signed left winger Trevor Connelly to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Connelly was originally chosen 19th overall by the Golden Knights in the 2024 NHL Draft.
Through 23 appearances this season with the NCAA’s Providence Friars, Connelly collected 13 points counting four goals and nine assists coupled with a minus-13 rating and 29 penalty minutes. Meanwhile, this year also saw the 19-year-old native of Tustin, Calif., join Team USA at the World Juniors where through seven appearances he scored once and added three assists for four points en route to a gold medal win.
Beyond the World Juniors, Connelly has also seen success in international competition including the 2024 IIHF Under-18 World Championship in which he notched four goals and five assists for nine points in seven games to help the American squad take home the silver medal. Connelly also joined the United States at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup where he put up a team-leading 10 points counting five goals and five assists in five games en route to a bronze medal victory.
Prior to committing to Providence, Connelly spent two seasons with the USHL’s Tri-City Storm from 2022-24. In his first season, Connelly tallied 24 goals and 23 assists for 47 points in 57 games to earn a spot on the USHL’s Second All-Rookie Team. The following season, Connelly paced the Storm in all major offensive categories including 31 goals, 47 assists, and 78 points coming in 52 games to earn recognition on the USHL’s Second All-Star Team. In all, through his two seasons with the Storm, Connelly totaled 55 goals and 70 assists for 125 points in 109 career contests.
For the Golden Knights, on the season the club headlines the Pacific Division with 98 points in 73 games.
